Course Overview:
The Beginner Lash Class is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to the art of eyelash extensions. This course will equip beginners with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to start a career in the lash industry. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, participants will learn the essential techniques and best practices for applying lash extensions safely and effectively.
Week 1:
Session 1: Introduction to Eyelash Extensions
- Overview of the lash industry
- Different types of lash extensions
- Tools and materials used in lash application
- Health and safety considerations
Session 2: Anatomy of the Eye and Lashes
- Understanding the structure and growth cycle of natural lashes
- Identifying different eye shapes and lash styles
- Assessing client requirements and expectations
Session 3: Preparing the Workspace
- Setting up a professional lash station
- Sanitation and hygiene practices
- Client consultation and record-keeping
Session 4: Lash Extension Application Techniques
- Types of lash adhesives and their uses
- Selecting lash lengths, thicknesses, and curls
- Isolation and lash separation techniques
- Step-by-step lash extension application procedure
Week 2:
Session 5: Lash Styling and Design
- Understanding lash mapping and mapping techniques
- Creating different lash styles (natural, cat-eye, doll-eye, etc.)
- Tips for achieving symmetry and balance
Session 6: Infills, Maintenance, and Removal
- Infills and touch-up procedures
- Educating clients on lash aftercare
- Safe and proper removal techniques
Session 7: Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
- Common issues and challenges in lash application
- Identify and rectify lash-related problems
- Tips for maintaining lash longevity
Session 8: Practical Hands-On Practice
- Participants will get hands-on practice under the guidance of the instructor
- Applying lash extensions on mannequin heads and live models
